the 7.8.x is more instable than anothers old version and have a lot of corrections that the 7.7.x (or example) needs to do across patchs aplications. And the Enterprise Manager administrator is more helpfull to identify if the configurations are correct. The Application Log Files are more details to know what is happenning when you have a problem.
