I need assistance with setting up putty to telenet into my call server. I am on release 7.0 for a CS1K system. Pretty new to the whole system and looking any assistance anyone could offer.

Telnet is disabled by default. You have to use SSH or RLOGIN to connect.

Using putty, normally telnet to your signal server IP, and then do cslogin to call server.

To properly get into a 7.0 Switch, you will need to use SSH, which will ask for the RSA token verification, from there, you can login to the Linux Base (if co-res) or directly to the VxWorks. If you are running linux, then just issue command cslogin to get into the Call Server.

From 6.0+ telnet is usually disabled by default, but can be fixed by issuing harden telnet off (or something similar)

Thanks for all the information everyone. It is working.
