I am having exaclty the same issue as the thread mention above.
In sum, I have installed Asterisk and it is connected to CS1K via TIELINE. Everything is working but when I call from Nortel to Asterisk extension, it show 10 digit number instead of local 4 digit DN and Name

Below is my prinout of RDB

So for few days I was running around for nothing [hairpull3] because at the beginning, I was using ESS5 and everything was working well except when calling from Nortel to Asterisk : the asterisk set was seeing the 10 digit number instead of DN and Name.
Is there a way to config so at least I can send the 4 digit number to asterisk even though I cannot send the name? I think I have to play with CLID table to do that. What do you think?

Thank's again

From Nortel to the Asterisk yes, it would be the CLID table. I cant help you from the Asterisk to the Nortel. Sorry you wasted your time on the name thing.

I am really sorry for the two thread at the same time...

I just recreate the DCH with ESS5 as I did in the beginning and same way the asterisk. It is working like before

For the DN I will have to play with CLID (I might need a hand for CLID)

As we have some set with Nortel and some with Asterisk.

For example how do I create a clid that will send DN and Name to Nortel set and only dn to Asterisk ... on ld 15

Any guide will be appreciate.

Thank's

I don't think the CLID table is looked at on a CDP type call.
