thread798-910063

I am having exaclty the same issue as the thread mention above.
In sum, I have installed Asterisk and it is connected to CS1K via TIELINE. Everything is working but when I call from Nortel to Asterisk extension, it show 10 digit number instead of local 4 digit DN and Name

Below is my prinout of RDB

Let me know you need any more information
Thank's

Learning is not enough, you have to apply it...

If you can build the as a QSIG (ISGF), it will make your life a lot easier!

I thought the same thing as lot of people saying that too.. But it is possible to fix without needing to change IFC to QSIG
Because in that case, I have to remove the dch and trunk and recreate it.

Thank's

Learning is not enough, you have to apply it...

You'll have to out and rebuild everything again, but its only a 5-15 minute task.

I did have some time today ... so I did remove the DCH adn TRUNK
When trying to create ADAN, it give me the error
Code:
IFC ISGF
>err sch6670
SCH6670
QSIGGF package is restricted.

Learning is not enough, you have to apply it...

Your switch doesn't have the QSIG package - unless it's release 7.0, maybe 7.5 or higher, I don't think you can get packages without upgrading.

Actually, I am using Rls 7.0 unless my vendor mislead me ?

Learning is not enough, you have to apply it...

Call your vendor, tell them you need to add package 305 and 263 to the PBX - they either come back with a ok and ask for a little money or we need to talk and ask for a lot of money, because you'll have to upgrade to get the package.

Or see if the A can emulate SL1 protocol or try NI2 if it's capable.

I did rebuild with SL1 and what do I have to setup for Asterisk Side

On Nortel side, everything seem working but call does not pass thourgh astersik

Before, I was able to make a call to Nortel <--> Asterisk. Now, nothing is working

Learning is not enough, you have to apply it...

Learning is not enough, you have to apply it...

If you can't do QSIG, then do NI2. SL1 is proprietary for Nortel

You mean for the configuration of CS1K, I reconfigure the DCH with NI2 instead of SL1

Learning is not enough, you have to apply it...

By the way, is there a way I can find out which packages are installed on my system.
Thank's

Learning is not enough, you have to apply it...

Is it really hard or huge cost to add new package because I already have 263 but not 305

Learning is not enough, you have to apply it...

Your not going to get the 4 digit # and name unless it's Nortel to Nortel with SL1 for the IFC.

So to connect to Asterisk, I have to use QSIG ???

Learning is not enough, you have to apply it...

QSIG still is not going to send the LD 95 name across the network, just doesn't work except Nortel to Nortel. Depending on your release on the PBX you may or may not even be able to get the required packages for QSIG. The name info and name format is proprietary to Nortel. I have never seen it work with QSIG or any other protocol other than Nortel to Nortel.
