I want to make a ISM Transfer, from an CS1000M Large System (81C) that was upgrade to rls 4.0 and It has CP PII, the licence upgrade procedure tells me that I´ve got to set in CP card the switch MAINT/NORM to MAINT but this CP PII just jast to buttons INT and RESET, Any Idea for doing the prodecure with this card?

Another question, The new codes Keycodes reduce analog and digital extesions (for the ISM transfer), The procedure tells me that I´ve got to call Nortel If the new Keycodes have reduce license, for ISM transfer is there another procedure or Do I follow the procedure for License upgrade although I´m reducing licences?

yes and call nortel.. the knew command will not work.. neither will the standard upgrade.. it will fail when it sees the numbers lower...

Thanks Jhon,

Is There another procedure for ISM Transfer?

Jhonppole, I mean Is there another procedure in the CS1000M (81C) to execute the ISM Transfer (Entering keycodes for reduce the license)?

Does anybody make a ISM Transfer on large system (81c):

I found in the manual for rls 4.5 "Communication Server 1000M and Meridian 1 Large System Upgrade Procedures (Book 3 of 3) 553-3021-258" has from Page 231 3 procedures for Feature and License Upgrade:

*Upgrade feature and License parameter using a keycode diskette
*Upgrade feature and License parameter using HyperTerminal
*Upgrade feature and License parameter entered manually

For any of these procedures, the manual tells me that "If it has been determined that the keycode lowers License limits or reduces features, do not continue with the KNEW command". Contact the Nortel Networks order management representative, I dont know If I have to continue with the upgrade using any of these procedures or Is there another procedure

If I read this one right you are converting some analog and digital ISM's to IP ISM's. If this is true you are NOT reducing your total ISM's. The numbers should balance out. Make sure that you do not have more analog and digital devices configured on your PBX than you will have once the new keycode is activated. If you have less that you will have then you are good to go. Many people are taking old analog and digital ISM's and converting them over to IP. It's no big thing and the keycode will work correctly.
