I'm fairly new to Nortel CS1000E admin / hardware so go easy on me!
We are running a CS1000E v4.5 and are looking to plan upgrading to the 5.5 platform. We were advised that we would need to "upgrade our processors" for v5.5 to work.
From reading Nortel documentation it seems to me like we have substantial hardware requirements to do this CP PIV (Checked actual hardware and homepage of element manager).
I guess my question is, do we need additional software upgrade on the CP PIV to bring it up to spec and is this what the partner is referring to when they say the "processor needs upgraded"
or
Do you think they assumed we had a CP PII processor and would need to upgrade the hardware.
This is the document I've been researching and mainly page 91 - 102.
If there are any other elements that are required to be upgraded it would be appreciated if this could be pointed out also.
