Hi all - When a call is transfered to another extension, the call is connected (shown as connected on M3902 display)but no speach path is established.
Also, when a call comes into our switchboard and is transfered , caller is getting cut off.
This is not happening all the time, seems fairly random, some callers getting p**d off.....

TDM to IP ?? could be a DSP issue on your CPPM,VGMC.

It's only dialtone-VZ

You are facing this problem within single cabinet or when you transfer the call to second cabinet. Do check out your VGWs status while facing this problem.

Do you have the latest Deplist installed?

I have several CS1000E systems and know on 6.00 there are several transfer issues that require either current patches or current firmware on TDM phones.

What s/w version do you have?

3900 series digital sets definitely have a transfer problem unless they are at the latest firmware release. Was this site recently upgraded to 6.0?

And there is also a IP-TDM call cutoff problem with 6.0 if you have Call Pilot.

Hi guys
Thanks for all the helpful replies, we have had all sorts of patches put on the system to no effect, turns out that problem was caused by different compression codecs being used - initial call setup used G711 second (transfer) setup used G729,
set everything to G729 all now ok. Don't understand why it was set to use G711 as that is NO compression.

BT, don't you just love 'em
