Hi

I've got a CS 1000E Rls 5.5 (Cabinet), It has a MGC, a CPPM (Call server) and CPPM (Signaling server)(16 Ip users licenses, 2 Dgtl LC cards, 2 anlg MWLC card and a DXUT card). The PBX was working fine until I decided to remove the LD 30 from DROL on LD 17 (to avoid the digital phones ports to disable at midnight DROL routing when they are disconected), I received some messages from the PBX and then the PBX began to restart, now I've got the PBX out of service and I receive the following message from MGC port 0.

27/04/2010 10:00:08 LOG0003 regRetry: Failed to Register with Primary Call Server[192.168.10.39]
27/04/2010 10:00:08 SRPT1018 STARTUP: unable to send registration request to Primary Call Server.
27/04/2010 10:00:08 LOG0004 tMgcVgwAppStartRetry: DSP DBs are present, waiting for mgcdb.xml from Primary Call Server

Please, any ideas?

put 30 back. If it is out of sevice, I would kill the power to the MGC, wait 30, turn it back up.

Thanks, I'm going to turn off the PBX for 30 sec. and the turn it again.

I can't access the PBX (I'm using port 0 on MGC), I just turn off the MGC or the whole PBX?

I would kill that mgc/cabinet by it's front pwr switch.

I turn off the PBX for about 5 minutes and the problem continues, I forgot to mention that the MGC display shows E002.
Can I access the PBX using element manager or telnet (SS) and try to put back LD 30 in DROL?
I dont think that the PBX has remove the LD 30 (save the change) because I just turn off the PBX when I delete LD 30 from DROL

Going back to why you removed LD 30 (to prevent digital sets from being disabled), you can accomplish the same thing by having those digital sets programmed with CLS=FLXA.

I dont think drol has you hung, even if it kicked off the problem, really hoping cycle would register it back up, as I've had the miss fourtune of having to do it before. Would you say the CS is up, but not getting registered "to" ??

thanks bigindian65, The CS is not up, All the cards (stations and DXUT) are disable in red? I dont what else I have to try?

I don't either, if you can't get Nortel/Avaya support involved, hopefully you can, I would do that rather than try anything else. If I had to try anything else, it would be backout all but CS and SS card and smack it again. But support option would be best as this is blind advice at this point.

Something is not talking. You have a cable or connection that is unplugged or gone bad. Check all connections to all devices first. Then call your local vendor.

DocVic is correct something is not talking check the switch that the Elan goes to, if the switch has power, check the Vlan settings. From memory E002 "loss of connection to C/S"

hope that helps

I checked all cables ELAN and TLAN, All cables are Ok, But When I ping to CPPM CS It doesn't asnwer

I would power cabinets down, back all the cards out except the CS, SS and MGC cards and power back up. Have you verified the network switch the ELAN is plugged into is working?

Hi

The PBX is locate in remote site (Another city) I had to travel there, I solved the problem. The CPPM CS card was restaring over and over, I had to reinstall the CPPM CS software. Here a capture from CPPM CS:

Any Ideas?

Try reformatting the CPPM Call Server FMD (1GB Compact Flash) and reload SW. If that doesn't work then replace the 1GB Card.
