Below is a screenshot of CEQU on a release 7.6 cs1000e.
Why is the DCH value shown on some PRIs as DCH 23 and some 24 and how do you change the value.
I just added PRI Loop 84 and it automatically set the DCH as 24.
I don't recall a parameter in LD 17 that allows me to define 23 or 24.
Does Loop 84 think it is a T1 rather than PRI?

Code:
DLOP NUM [highlight #FCE94F] DCH[/highlight] FRM TMDI LCMT YALM T1TE TRSH MG_CARD
   TRK 062 24 ESF NO B8S FDL - 00 000 0 05
   PRI 063 23 ESF NO B8S FDL - 00 004 0 05
        080 23 ESF NO B8S FDL - 00 028 0 01
        081 23 ESF NO B8S FDL - 00 032 0 01
        082 23 ESF NO B8S FDL - 00 028 0 02
        083 23 ESF NO B8S FDL - 00 032 0 02
        [highlight #FCE94F]084 [highlight #8AE234]24[/highlight] ESF NO B8S FDL - 00 028 0 05[/highlight]

do they all have DCH configured or are they NFAS? all ours have individual DCH's so they all show 24 can you prt the dch's

No NFAS here.
All my circuits are PRI that have their own D channel.
This particular PRI is going to be configured as a TIE line to a Cisco router.
I will be using a UDT card that has yet to be placed in a 1010 shelf.
I know once I install the card I will need to make a serial connection to config the card but until I get the card, I wanted to go ahead and config the PRI then ADAN the route etc.
I see nothing in the NTP that shows how to set the value and what it really means.

This is what the book shows. I see no parameter that is relative to a 23 or 24 DCH value.

All Loops in my switch are configured as PRI. When printing CEQU in LD 22, some show DCH as 23 and some show DCH as 24. I still don't understand or can find documentation that states what the DCH value is actually referring to. When adding a PRI in LD 17, I see no parameter that references this value. It just shows up as 24 instead of 23 like most others. I have no explaination as to how loop62 shows up as 24 either. This makes no sense. I hope someone out there can provide documentation or personal excrescence as to why this happens and exactly what it means. The next step in the building a PRI is to create the ADAN. I don't want to proceed until I get a good answer to this. Thanks to anyone who can explain the theory here.

Yea, after I create an Adam, the next step after that is to create an Eve.

Actually, I figured this out. The format for DLOP is Loop/#of Channels/Framing.

You can put in 23 or 24, makes no difference. The paramater is there for fractional T-1's/PRI's. But truthfully, why ever use anything other than 24. After all you still have to configure the trunks in ld 14.

This setting is not for the D channel at all. It is a setting to state dd = maximum number of simultaneous voice
or data calls 0-(24). I had to look back in an old release 4.5 doc to find this
