CS1000" and "PBX" are the same thing - are you referring to a co-res CS1000E? Where the first thing you see is the Linux base, and then you use the "cslogin" command to get to the PBX overlays?
In either case, there's no "timer" for either of them. The Linux shell is always available; so is the overlay shell. Here's an example:
