Greetings, Checking to see if anyone else is experiencing intermittent issues with SRG's running Rls-6 not internally disconnecting the analog and H323 trunks upon completion of call. The caller on the PSTN side disconnects but the physical trunk stays connected to the H323 in the SRG, if you lift the active line and remove battery the line immediatly goes idle in BCM monitor. All SRG's and the CS1k are patched current. A Viking products CPC-1 will always disconnect the call but should not be necessary!
There are some Rls-3 and Rls-5 SRG's in this network, none exhibit the problem, only Rls-6 installs and intermittent to the point where I haven't been able to duplicate in tesing. IF I remove supervision from the active trunk I can lock it up so thinking we might be losing the packet with the far end disconnect but can't prove and our SME's say the network is ok. I can't find anything here, on the Avaya site nor does a Google search really bring anything up.
Orginally posted this over on the BCM forum but was recommended to post here as well. Trying to get our ATAC to advance the issue to Avaya too.

Many thanks,
Ken

You're using analog trunks on the SRG correct? Are the R3 and R5 SRG's are connected to the same CS1000?

Assuming yes to both... Seems like you may be able to rule out the CS1000.

Are the analog lines provided by the local bell as opposed to a cable company? Cable company lines have been troublesome for me at times. Could be the GATM module...

Good Luck!

I have agree Jeff the issue is most likely not the CS1000 which is why I originally posted this on the BCM forums but was recommended to try on this forum as well.
It just so happens we are not only the vendor for the systems but also the LEC so for once it's very nice to be able to troubleshoot having some control over the CPE and PSTN!!! I fully understand the cable issue, have seen it even on simple Ekey systems.
I am convinced this problem started some time relative to putting system patch 017 on the SRG for echo problems on the IP sets but, well not proven at this point. Thinking we're going to turn on MOH and add CPC devices to the lines on the SRG R6 locations, that seemed to work 100% of the time, you know the way it's supposed to be!
Thanks for the reply.
