Is there a way to program a phone to roll to a cell phone after so many rings? We have a CS1000 and the phone in question is built as a nortel 2616 but it is actually a spectra-link phone. The end user wants to have it roll to her cell phone so she doesnt lose any calls. I know i can forward to a cell phone but im not sure if u can roll to a cell phone. Thanks

You could always build an ACD that NCFWs to the cell number and forward/no answer (and hunt if necessary) to that number. Remember to put in your access code if necessary.

FDN worked but I had to allow call forward external. Thanks very much. I feel stupid that it was that simple.

Dont feel stupid. I've had to show guys with multiple years of experience simple things like hooking a butt-set up to a 66 block to test dial tone. I have no idea how they ever got the job much less keep the job for years.

When all the documentation for your average Meridian 1 system takes up a good size book shelf, it's impossible to remember everything - even the guys doing it for 20 years still consult the books for the routine stuff.

But...

HUNT 9xxxyyyzzzz
FDN 9xxxyyyzzzz
CLS CFXA

If CLS CFTA is in there, then you'll need to set the EFD and EHT to the phone # you want to forward to for external callers. Otherwise, CLS CFTD will send both internal/external to the same place and make the EFD/EHT fields disappear for that TN.

RCO determines the number of rings before hunting (values are set in LD 15 in the CDB under RDR_DATA... CFN0, CFN1, etc...).
