We have a few elevator phones (autodialers), and some regular telephones(home phone) that do not break dialtone. We have no problem on fax machines, or on our test sets. This system just got upgraded to the new 7.5 with 1010 cabinet. Also we upgraded to the MG XPEC contollers on the IPE shelves. Is there a setting in COS that needs to be changed for these specific ports? they worked fine before the upgrade from 5.5

Make sure you have DTN in the CLS

Ive worked a very similar issue before. MGC cards and autodialers...

Be sure the MGC and MG XPEC loadware is current.

Check "DTMF tone detection" setting in EM. You'll find this in your Node properties, "VGW and IP phone codec profile".

Hope this helps!

DTN is set. And checked the node properties.... DTMF tone detection is checked, and Remove DTMF delay is checked. Still have the same problem. Also the loadware was all updated as of early April.

maybe it's your DTRs?

The DTRs are all enabled. As far as being in the 1st cabinet, it is 16-1 we have a 4-0 also. This is an existing IPE shelf that went from just 16-0 to having both sides 16-0 and 16-1. I went ahead and configure the tns with a HOT D to override the dialer. Also added EHTA & LDTA to the COS. they work now. Bit the courtesy phones don't. Now after further testing, a standard 2500 POTS phone will work, but the outside phones by Allentel do not. They all are more of the electronic analog phones.
