Hi all,
I am still new to the PRI, but I have already configured a pri card NT5d97 and the D-CH, but I don't know how to do the mapping between the external numbers and my extension, it's like the telco gave me 21810XX, and the XX are a range from 00 to 99,
I read about the IDC, but the IDC takes just 4 digits, my PBX is 4 Digit numbering plan, can someone give an example of mapping let's say 2181055 to extension 3040. and I'll do the rest.

please help and thanks for all of you

I am in europe so this for PRI2 but its pretty much the same. In LD 15 against the LDN0 you put a number the length of that number determins how many digits you want to look at. So the PSTN may send you 6 digits but if your LDN0 was 1234 you would only look at the last 4 digits. In LD 49 you build an IDC table some ting like:

DCNO 1

SDID NO
IDGT CDGT
1 3

If you were only looking at 4 digits this would do the whole range as long as the last 3 digits in the DDI match the last 3 digits in the DN so an DDI 1055 would go to extension 3055. OR for your example were it does not match at all this would be required:

DCNO 1

SDID NO
IDGT CDGT
1055 3040

If you were looking at all 7 digits of the DDI it would be:

IDGT CDGT
2181055 3040 - individual
2181 3 - Or a range

IDGT is the digits you want to replace so these will be removed from the start of the number CDGT is what you want to replace them with.

Once IDC is in you can then assign it to your RDB in LD 16. Aginst promt IDC enter Yes then assign your table number to the next two prompts (Day and Night tables)

Thanks bignose21,

I tried to build the IDC but this what I got:

REQ prt

TYPE idc

CUST 0

DCNO 0

DCNO 0

SDID NO
IDGT CDGT
1 1 0 4 3 2 0 4
1 1 6 6 6 6 6 6

as you can see the digits is not close to gether. and when I try to call the number 2181104, or 2181166, I transfered directly to the operator and I got on the operator display the following:

XXXXXXX 218,

where the XXXXXXX is the CLID.

Please, advise me.

Yes, I have already assign it to the rdb in idc item change to yes, and put the number. with the same result.
it is going to the operator.

Try increasing the digits in the idc so try this if it works work out which one is doing it for you:

DCNO 0

SDID NO
IDGT CDGT
2181104 3204
181104 3204
81104 3204
1104 3204

Don't worry about the inter-digit spaces in the IDC prints.

A DCH trace in LD96 will show the digits coming in from the exchange/central office. If carrier sends 1-3 digits you'll have to insert digits to make it up to a 4-digit number.

As bignose21 mentioned the switch may be getting more than 4 but will only look back the same length as the LDN.

If the DCH trace shows 7 digits and LDN is 4 digits only look at the last 4 digits coming in and try IDC on that one number first.

Thanks all for your support.

I don't know how to trace the call from LD96, I enabled the msgi and msgo, and when I got call on this DCH no thing appears.

but when I traced it to a Digital Set, I got that the dialed number is
0112181104

I hope you can advise me.

Thanks all for your support,
but I don't know how to trace in LD96, I enabled the msgi and msgo but no thing appears when I got a call on the DCH.
Hoowever I trace a call il LD80 on a digital set, and I got the dialed number as
0112181104

please any advise.

Thanks for all

Thanks all,

I am sorry, but I don't know how to trace in LD96,
However I did in LD80 on some set, and I got that the dialed number is like this:

0112181104,

I'll try to put the whole number in IDC and get back with the results.

Hey all, It works when I tried to enter 2181104, and it really transfered to the 3204, but I have two points to be discussed.

1- when the 3204 is busy, it directs go to the operator, where the hunt is disabled.
2- when I dialed from the 3204, the number changed to be 218113204,
how can I make it also 2181104 for the outgoing calls.

Thanks a lot

For the LD 96 trace you enable msgi and msgo against the PRI DCH numbers, also enable the output to the TTY (LD 96) "enl mon tty" also the TTY port you are on must have a USER of "mtc" (LD 17).

For your forwarding could be in the RDR_Data (LD 15) prompts

FNAD FDN
FNAT FDN
FNAL FDN

We usually set them FDN which means it uses the forward no answer treatment of the FDN prompt of the set.
