CS1000 page port help

Hello All,

I have just been given a Nortel Meridian CS1000 phone switch and really don't know anything about it. (switch manager left for a better job) I have lost all paging capabilites from the switch (page port). I will Apologies in advance, can anyone give me advice on how to proceed to fix this? Also I do not have any tech paperwork for reference. Does anyone have a good link that will help me to learn about this switch, or at least help me get started on learning on how to use it.

The Page port will be connected to a universal trunk card. If you have a butt set you can check the output from that card and see if it works there. It will be programmed as either a Page Trunk if a single zone or probably a Wats Trunk if you are using some kind of zone page controller.
 
Are you familiar with logging into the PBX and doing any command line programming? If not it's going to be a long day for you. Sorry
 
I found the TN and hooked up a buttset and not getting anything?? should I get a dial tone or anything?? Truly have no clue what I am doing?

No dial tone. Have the butt set in monitor and have someone page and see if you hear anything.
 
Nothing, not getting a thing...(call in monitor mode, line is getting nothing) I found the virtual page port in the element manager. I can see my page port, TN and route. Nothing was changed, and it looks right. Not really sure what to do from here... I have 3 zones my my paging is in zone 1 (not sure it that helps).
 
If you know the TN then I would stat that TN and see if it is idle, busy, or disabled.
