Hi
I'm upgrading a Meridian 11c rls 25.30 just TDM no Ip telephony to a CS1000 Co-Resident Rls. Rls 7.65.16 CP MG, I made the deployment of the Linux server with the elements CS+SS+EM+NRS on the CP MG and restore a backup from Meridian 11c, I could access the CS1000 rls 7.65 via TTY1 on the face place of the CP MG using admin2 password of the 11c and created a CTY (old Meridian 11c password), now when I enter via UCM with admin user and try to access to the EM on my cs1000 I receive the following error message:

WEB4008
No Idle TTY channel available

Now If I try to enter to the CS using admin2 11c password via ip Address using SSH or through the TTY 1 on face place of CP MG card I receive the following error message:

Last login: Mon Jan 6 14:43:56 2014 from 199.1.1.200
[admin@cs1000e ~]$
[admin@cs1000e ~]$ cslogin
/pty/ptty00.S is not defined in SL1 Database
rlogin: connection closed.
[admin@cs1000e ~]$

Please, Any Ideas?

go to ld 37 and post the result of stat, because it sounds like you haven't created any PTY yet.

Sounds like you don't have a PTY port built in the system. Not sure why as I think it gets built by default when doing a conversion. I'd try to connect via serial to Port 1 (or 2) off the MGC (Same cable that would have been used when it was an Opt11). If that works, build PTY's on TTY14 and 15 (or whatever ports are available).

Thanks for your answers, Yes I created 3 PTY's 4,5 and 6 and made and EDD on Ld 43, but now I cannot access de CS to see If the PTY were erased, Here You can see Ld 37 stat (the moment were created) (now I cannot access the CS to see them):

.stat

TTY 0 : ENBL
TTY 1 : ENBL
TTY 2 : ENBL ( MGC 0 0 )
TTY 4 : DSBL DES: PTY4
TTY 5 : DSBL DES: pty5
TTY 6 : DSBL DES: pty6

If I undeploy the CS1000 and deploy again and load the meridian 11c backup (make a fresh instaltion), Could I re-enter to create the PTY or Do I have to reinstall Linux?

Hi, all of a sudden I could enter to the CS (using admin2 11c old password) here ld 22 ADAN:

But When I try to enter to the element CS1000 on the UCM I receive the following error (I acces UCM with admin user):

OVLY428
User Autentication to CS1000 Server failed.
1. Check whether the Radius is turned ON for Central Autentication.
2.Check the user name and password of CS1000 componennt for Local Severity:Info

Any Ideas?

You need to (re)join the security domain.

LD 117 - reg ucm sys (or reg ucm cs)

Thanks for your answer, can I Join just the CS to the UCM because I haven't created the MGC (I cannot access the elements through the UCM)

Thanks scotthdiv, The "reg ucm cs" command worked, Now I've got another problem, The CS is CP MG card with 128DSP, When I created IPMG 0-0 (main cabinet) I didn't know that MGC had to be defined as MGS, without doing edd ld 43 I turned off the CS the IPMG disappeared Then I try create again the IMPG as MGS but I cannot change the setting to MGS still appears as MGC, If I undeploy the Linux server and the CS I could erase all the configuration and start a fresh instalation?

There is no reason you should have to start over. Just do a change on the IPMG in LD 97

Thanks KCFLHRC, I could create de IPMG throgh LD 97 SUPL, I have to use JoinSecDomain from each MGC card to join them to the UCM.
I've got another question, The CS is CP MG with 128 DSP and I've got another cabinet with a MGC card 128 DSP, When I set IMPG 0-0 and 0-1 super loops and add the 128 VGW channels (DSP channels)for each MGC using Multi-channels add in The element manager, But just were added 96 DSP channels 0,0,11,0-31 0,0,12,0-31 and 0,0,13,0-31 (for IPMG 0-0) and 0,1,11,0-31 0,1,12,0-31 and 0,1,13,0-31 (for IPMG 0-1). I defined the DTR circuits for IPMG 0,0,14,0-7 and 0,1,14,0-7, The MFC tones circuits for DTI2Mb Card (E1) are 0,0,15,0 through 0,0,15,3. Where can I define the 32 DSP to have 128 DSP channels?

CPMG128 & MGCs with the 128 DSP DB will have their DSP channels built against card slots 11-14. DTRs can be built on card slots 0 and/or 15.

Thanks for your answers, All It's working fine but now the customer wants to change the TLAN Ip addresses (Node, CS and MGC), Can I remove all the elements from the node and delete MGC cards and use the "baseparamsconfig" command (Document NN43001-315 pag 138) to change Ip address of the Linux base?. Or Do I have to make a Undeployment?
Please, Any Ideas?

Hi lexer,

Nope, you don't have to remove the elements from the Node; I had to do several IP params changes whilst working with 7.5 systems and it's not necessary to "tear down" the Node if I may say so :)

Just do the "baseparamsconfig", reboot the card and you should be set to go :)

By the way, I've seen this PTY / EM issue on 4 x 7.65 systems by now & all had spare PTY ports ...am starting to think it's a bug in this release at this point..
