Greetings,
Hoping for some help if possible from the community. I have CS1000 7.6. I have right now 2 phones, a 3904 and a 2616, thats the MWI will pop on in the morning, but there are no messages. I made sure that the extension dn's have their primary DN and their roll over. Line one is marped, tried i with both line 1 and 2 marped. The Message cancel light only works for a few days. Can anyone advise on resolving this issue?

You more than likely have those extensions in possibly another mailboxes MWI DN field. We run into that all the time.

You can do a search on MW Indication in Call Pilot and find what mailboxes light the light on a particular phone.

Thank you for the replies. is it possible that if a different DN was forwarded to this number to cause this, if it were out-ed without it being unforwarded first? I only ask because I removed that (Other) Dn's voicemail and the light hasnt popped on since as well, before I saw these. I greatly appreciate the help and input.

the call (should) have only eventually Forwarded to the Mailbox of the originally dialed party and MWI'd there -- unless the telephone in question had that MWI-DN defined on it's mailbox.

Like they are saying it is most likely Message Waiting set against a different mailbox has that DN configured (Can configure up to 8 numbers for MWI per mailbox)

just search all users in CPMGR and export the details, then search for the appearances of the numbers.

Get into Callpilot, user tab, user search, change the dropdown to advanced search, on line 1 chg the search criteria dropdown to MWI DN, operator dropdown to equals, chg the value to the dn that is lighting. this will tell you of any boxes that have that dn in thier MWI
