new upgrade to 5.5 from 4. problem with fax mach. i set the pri to 3vce set faxa and mpta on the analog ports the codec on all mgc cards is set for g729a. bust i cant recive faxes and have imtt problems sending. any help will be welcome..tks

yes they are checked on all mgc cards but grayed out and cant be un checked.

I'm looking at EM on 5.5, from a CS1000E, it may navigate different if you are on an 1000m, but will be under the VGW card Codec and will have check boxes for all allowable codecs.

T1s running Clean? no error or slips? Clock sync to T1?

can you FAX from internal FAX to Internal FAX on same MGC and accross different MGC?

What if you put FAX in same MGC as T1? can you then FAX out and in?

make sure clocks are in sync and T1s not taking any errors

i need to set up DNDR on 18 phones and not sure how it works . here wg=hat i need to do . ext 2000 and 2222 if they are not answered in need to delay ring to 13 other phones and if they dont answer delay ring to the last 5 phone . in the ntp is tell need to set it up in ld 11 but doesn't give a good example on how to set it .


does any have any idea how to make this happen .

Nortel Option 11c paging problems.
Have a customer with a Nortel option 11 .vendor just replaced
old paging system with new paging system.
now they say when paging ,,,the volume will get louder

the longer the person talks on loud speakers.
Paging company said problem is coming from nortel phone system. they siad the nortel has a feature called asending
page on off ? anyone ever heard of this ?

bowlerroller - do you have any other routes? COTs or other T1? might see if routing over that helps.

Do you ever hear noise while on the phone - pops and clicks?

my suggestion:

mgc and vgmcs channels with zone with BQ.
all dsp will be use g711. works fine!
