Will CS10 leverage Windows 2008 R2 branch office services

I am trying to increase speed at our offshore rigs.

Remote cache has been discouraged and we do have riverbed already. I am going to get a demo on syntegy's Replicator to see how that can help

The syntergy replicator looks good too, not had time to play with it as yet. Why has RC been discouraged as it is usually a good first step for Performance ?
