I have a 104 page document, which when I try to print, I get the following error before it even spools:
Printing Error: The Adobe Print Engine has failed to output your data due to an unknown problem.
NOW, when I try to print the pages individually, or 1-4 & 5-7, or 1-6 then 7 -- it spools and prints as it should. All of my pages are created in Illustrator. I'm importing them as .Ai files when the problem occurs. If I save the file as .eps and import them in ID, its acts the same, but lets me print more pages at once, instead of from 1-4, from 1-7, but its not of big help. I checked all my Illustrator files, they don't have transparencies, or anything suspicious. Some of the pages a really big, but why will it print them individually but won't print them all together?
I'm working on MAC 10.2.8. InDesign CS
Thanks in advance.

Could be a printer memory problem. How big is the file you are trying to print? What size memeory in the printer?

Was this ever resolved? I have same problem... help.

Yeah, a 104 page document with full page Illustrator files would be a huge, huge file. I would expect that most printers can't handle a file that big. Doesn't seem odd to me.
