Is anyone experiencing random analog or digital telephone outages on a chassis based CS-1000E? TDM Phones are randomly going out of service, never the same line card. About 3 or 4 per day. The only effective restoration method seems to be pulling and reseating the line card.

What MGC loadware do you have installed? The early days of MGC cards had some issues where cards would lock up, MGCs would reboot and things of that nature.

The MGCs are an NTDW60BBE5. Also have the NTDW64AAE5 DSP daughterboards in the system.

If you have ESPL access, paste your PSWV from LD 22 into the MIRCC MGC loadware comparison tool. That will tell you how far out the MGCs may be. If you don't have ESPL access, this might be a task for your vendor.

To see what version you're running, type ISS in LD 22 and you'll see the different loadware levels there as well. I don't think you're having network issues since only certain cards are affected. If it was a network issue, you'd lose the whole cabinet. This sounds like a backplane signaling/cardlan issue which very well may be resolved by updating the loadware.
