Hello,
trying to install an app that uses the CRViewer control (V4.6) on an Win2kPro I get the following message during the install "Error 1904 Module C:\WINNT\System32\Cystl32.ocx Failed to register HRESULT -2147024770
Contact Support Personell" On the chance this was an ATL.dll
problem I checked the version (3.0.8449.0) and it seemd to be correct, I also have a later version on the target machine(ATL.dll Version 3.0.9435.0). Any Ideas?

Thanks and sorry about the length of this!!!

Thanks,

I got rid of the 1904 error, I included implode.dll and crpe32.dll in the install, the install runs fine. However,
when I run the report from the app I get run time error 339 "crystl32.ocx... failed to register". I believe Crystl32
is not getting included in to the install file at build time although VSI shows it being included during the build. So I loaded a copy of Cryst32.ocx as well as Cryst32.dep and .oca into system32 and tried to register it manually (regsvr32 /s C:\WINNT\System32\Cryst32.ocx) I run the app again this time it now produces "run time error -2147024770 Automation error, Specified module could not be found" Any Ideas?

Ddi you get this run time error -2147024770 Automation error resolved? If yes can you give a solution how to fix it?

Thanks

CCLINT thanks but I don't think that is what am looking for. One of my users are getting this error message "run time error -2147024770 Automation error" and I do not know what to do about it yet. If you have any suggestions I would greatly appriciate it.

It sounds like you are missing one or more components, or one or more are not registered/damaged.
(Re-install)

OR! some component wasn't installed with the proper permissions (log in as administrator).

Try asking in the CR forum149, or the CR site.

It looks like the error has to still do with a related problem to the one mentioned above.

hello everyone!

Sorry it took so long reply back to you, I never did get rid of the automation error with CR, We where spending to much time with it so now we are using ComponentOne VSView
for reports and so far... it works fine.

Again Thanks
