Crystal XI - Earliest year for a group

I'm trying to develop a report where I obtain the earliest project year in which an application appears.
I can get the earliest project year but I can't the corresponding project to appear.
What am I doing wrong?

Insert a group on {table.appno} and then go to report->selection formula->GROUP and enter:

{table.year} = minimum({table.year},{table.appno})
