Crystal Server - Disk Unmanaged problem

Hi,

I am trying to schedule a report on Crystal Server 2008. It works fine if I set the destination to "Default Enterprise Location" however, when I change the destination to "File System" I get the following error;

"source file error. [CrystalEnterprise.DiskUnmanaged]: [Invalid argument]"

I've googled this to death and all the solutions seem to be aimed at Crystal Enterprise. In the CMC when I browse to the;
ReportJobServer
DestinationJobServer
ProgramJobServer or
PublicationJobServer

I do not see the option to enable "unmanaged disk" that nearly all the solutions I've found say I need to do.

Using the ReportJobServer as an example if I scroll down to the bottom of the properties tab I see;
Destination Configuration Service
This service has no configuration property.

And if I go to the destination tab and add File Server to the list I just get the option to specifiy a directory and username and password.

Cheers

Marc

Can you post a screen shot of the report job server properties screen? Specifically anything that says 'destination'?

Under destination, select "File System" - it doesn't have the label "Unmanaged Disk".

A computer only does what you actually told it to do - not what you thought you told it to do.

I have received this error before. I was able to resolve it by removing the user name and password from the Destination area.

Hope this helps,

I do this. In the CMC, go to servers. In the Crystal Reports Service Category will be CrystalReportsJobServer. Open that and go to Destination. From the Destination drop-down list, slect "File System". For the Directory field, put in the full UNC path to the directory you want to send your files, as a default.
I suggest selecting "Use Specific Name" and adding placeholders as you want. I like to include the name and leave Use File Extenion checked.
The User Name is the login name of someone in your company that has write priviledges to that directory and their password (nothing to do with a BO or Crystal user). It should be the admin person because when they change their password, it also has to change here or the job will fail.

If you want to send anythin to an e-mail address, also select E-mail from this drop down box and fill that info out as well. For e-mail, the user name is the e-mail account name, not their logon name. Again, if their password changes, it has to change here.
