I have a hidden subreport in my main report but I would like to pull in information from the subreport and show it on the main report. Is that possible?

You can if you unhide the subreport and instead suppress all sections within the subreport. You can format the subreport itself (format subreport->subreport tab->check "suppress blank subreport") and also format the section it is in to "suppress blank section". Then the sub and the section it is in will not appear. You can set up shared variables within the sub that you can then reference in the main report. But note that the section containing the sub cannnot be suppressed or hidden, and the sub object itself cannot be suppressed for shared variables to work.
