I am not able to connect to ACT! 2007 Version 9. When I get to the Create New Connection option under Available Data Sources, ACT! appears in the list. However, when I try to select the database, the options are

ACT files *.dbf
All files

I can't leave it as ACT files *.dbf because they are not dbf files. When I select All Files, I see my database.adf file, but get the error message "Data object cannot be opened/accessed".

Any ideas? Thanks

What version of Crystal are you using...Standard or Professional?

Standard only allows you to connect to client data sources, whereas professional is for client AND server based connections.

Let me modify my last reply to ensure I get the answer I need.

I am running Developer on both my own computer (single computer, not networked) and Developer at a client locaction where I will be connecting to an ACT! database residing on a server.

Can you give me the specific connection syntax for both if you know it?

Thanks
