Crystal Reports Version 8 - Chart Analyzer 1

Is it just me or does the Chart Analyzer in Verion 8 of Crystal Reports have a mind of its own!

I'm trying to change the font size of the legend, a simple enough task!

BUT!

The end user of my report may want to view the graph with 30 items on it or 2. So what I'm trying to do is get it so that when there are say 2 items selected the text size is reasonable, but when they go for 30 allow seagate to select the text size to be the best fit for the legend box size.

I principle I can get this to work, when I make the changes in the Analyzer and go back the preview screen everything works well. I can filter the report till my hearts complete and the text size of the legend changes accordingly, but when I close the report having saved it, then re-open it the text size defaults the the smallest size no matter what the filter!

Anyone got any ideas?

did you ever get a solution to this my problem is that i can not increase the font size to greater than 4

In a word no! Well not an ideal one!

The only work round I've found is to limit the number of items that appear in the legend before the graph is displayed, via a filter saved with the report or a filter applied by a parameter.

Didn't solve my problem as the number of items returned even with a filter can vary between 2 and 30, so the text size defaults to 4 everytime.

Crystal Reports support informed us that there may be a solution for this in their next release, however in the meantime, has anyone figured out a possible solution for this? The legends are completely unreadable on the web!!
