Crystal Reports V4.5 data range input

Hello,

I am a new Crystal Reports user, version 4.5. I am trying to figure out how to "prompt" the user to input a date range which will then be used to filter the data which will appear on the report. I know in later versions of CR you can create a parameter field and make it a date range, but I don't see this type of thing in 4.5? How do I accomplish this?

Is it possible you could compile the report into an executable file? Use the select expert to input a date on the report before you compile it. Users will then be asked for their input date before the compiled executable runs.
