Hi all, we've been experiencing significant performance issues with a Delphi 5 application that invokes Crystal Reports (v.8) to build a report using data collected in an MSSQL 2000 back-end database. The Delphi app is published in a MF Presentation Server v4.0 environment, but when the report is accessed (just a couple of pages sometimes) in the application the "white screen" takes like 10-15 minutes to fill in with data at a remote site (like in Illinois). Then once the report is finally displayed, and the user clicks on the printer icon it takes another very long time for the output to show up at the printer. The problem is very erratic -- this kind of problem can show up at almost all machines in one field office, but at one machine in that office the white screen fills with data very quickly and the printing is not dog slow either (1-2 minutes), but at all other computers the printing takes MANY minutes (20 or more). So it is not the network bandwidth, but we're stumped. How could a client machine affect the performance of a Crystal Report inside Citrix so dramatically?
Any ideas would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Elliott
