I have finally managed to connect
my xp machine to my informix server.
I am able to log into the server with CR
and can pull tables and create sqls etc.
It just seems to be really slow.
It takes a long time for the table to
show that I chose and even longer on
running an sql. Any thoughts or suggestions
for this problem... or is this normal?

I am connecting via ODBC.
The server and connection
seem fine via telnet and through
our GUI. Not sure what's going on.

If your DB server has thousands to tables you will slow things down for two reasons..
1) The server has to build and send a lengthy list
2) You have to choose a table from it.

You can speed things up by setting "Reprompt User when Connecting" in File/Options/Database.

Enter a table name of %Cust% to list jsut the tables with Cust in their names. Editor and Publisher of Crystal Clear
