1. What type of positions can a person with great understanding of crystal reports land?

Google it - There are a great many opportunities in terms of provision of reports for various purposes.

2. What is the pay scale for someone with few years of crystal reports and good understand of database?

Again - Google will give you your answers.

3. What's the value/worth of crystal reports skill?

Will be answered with the above - commercial experience is a must.

4. What's the future outlook/trend of these jobs?

This is an easy one. Last year (2007) the world reached a very important point (espescially for Crystal reports writers). We have passed the point where we are creating more data than we can physically store. This gap is increasing exponentially which means that data analysis is going to be more and more important as the years go by.

Soon we will be swimming in data and reporting (taking meaningful data from the vast pool) will be key to a great many areas and decisions made.

Like the old saying goes.... the future is bright :D

Knowing Crystal Reports inside and out has kept me employed for the last 11 years. Even when the Tech Bubble popped, my CR skills were in demand.

is right. Business Intelligence will grow by leaps and heaps. There are still many companies out there (here?) that don't have a clue about what data they already have, what to do with it, or how to interrupt it.

Also, don’t forget about the data being collected by gov’t agencies that has to be analyzed. [bigears] [noevil] [nosmiley]

Thanks for the feedbacks. It seems bright and hopeful for crystal reports developers in the future. Keep it up guys. =)
