I have added a Crystal Report to a VB.NET project. The report uses data from a textfile located on the root of my E: drive that the visual basic program creates. When I load the form with the Crystal Report Viewer on it, I am prompted for a database login. The screen looks like this...

Main Report

Table Name TextFile1_txt

Server Name E:
Database E:
Login ID

Password

* I dont know why it would prompt me for a DB LOGIN, i mean this is just a text file. Anyone have a solution???? Thanks

I just wanted to add, that it only prompts for the login if I have fields from the text file on the report. I removed them just to see what happened and it showed the report fine, but i kind of need it with the data. :)

I have a similar problem with a database connection.

I have a 2 reports which print from the same dataset. One report (mail
labels) prints fine.
The second report prints the same data as a list with groups. The first
page is displayed correctly but I get the same logon prompt when I try to view or
print the second page.

A CR knowledge base article said a fix is to use the
dataadaptor.fill(mydataset,"mytablename") to fill the dataset. It did not
work in my case.

Any suggestions?
