I am new to Crystal Reports and I am wondering if the followng can be done:

I need to write a windows app that will allow me to pick a field to query on. Say I have a drop down menu that will allow me to pick from x,y, or z. Then when I hit a button a report will be generated based on field x,y, or z from my database. I am using vs .net 2003. I have been looking at all kinds of doucumentation, but have been unable to get a clear picture of how this would be done. Any resources out there on how to do somethig like this? Or is it something simple(like I said I'm a crystal reports newbie)?

Any help is greatly appreciated! Thanks!

I'll have a closer look at thoes, thanks. The other thing is I am using MC++ wich I am slo new to (not C++, in general, but new to MC++).

So, I will definately go back and make sure that I didn't miss any examples that use VB.net or C# that migh help me out.
