Using a adodb recordset, I am able to pull all the information required, however, I need to group this information on the crystal report by a field in the select statement.

Is there anyway to do this without using any of the Wizards such as database expert, group expert etc?

Thanks

Insert > Group should let you group using any value based on a single detail line. This is separate from the Select statement, at least Crystal treats the two as separate.

It helps to give your Crystal version - 8, 8.5, 9, 10, 11 or whatever. Methods sometimes change between versions, and higher versions have extra options.

Madawc thanks for your reply, however, I wanted to do this all programmatically, without having to use the crystal report designer (version 9). Is there a way to do this without using any of the experts included with crystal reports??
