Crystal reports CrystalDecisions.ReportAppServer.CommLayer

My application says it can not load assembly or file CrystalDecisions.ReportAppServer.CommLayer

It works on computers that have vs 2005 installed on them. Where can I get this assembly? Do I have install some sort of run time libraries in client computers if I'm going to use crystal reports?

Yes. Did you make a setup project to install that on the clients?

To run an application that uses Crystal reports you have to download the specific version of that module from their website (

http://support.businessobjects.com/downloads/merge_modules.asp)

and then add the Merge Module when you create the setup files. This will install the module on the other computer to allow then to run the reports you have created.
