Hi I am using Crystal Reports XI version with SQL server 2005, to connect I have created a system DSN with SQL Server native driver. I am making connection with Database expert, the issue is in the stored procedures list I cann see all the stored procedures but the names appear followed by a semicolon 0 or semicolon 1 i.e. mystoredproc;1 hence when I try and add this to my report I get an error message as ; is not a valid character. Any advise greatly appreciated...

Thanks in advance

In first instance I was thinking that ;0 or ;1 must not appear and that was causing the issue, how ever I am completely wrong cause in one of the articles on BusinessObjects web site in their illustrations I saw ;0 and ;1 in stored procudure name... so that cleared first doubt now the error, I had created a sample stored procedure on Adventure works database I had made a spelling mistake..:( but what surprised me is that when I created the stored procedure it was created with no errors... but I missed one step I did not actually execute this in SQL query analyzer... fixed the SP with correct name and now it is working... Hope this helps

Cheers
