Crystal Reports 9 missing

I just recently started using VB.net 2003. I haven't been able to locate CR9 in the 'add item' dialog. So I just re-installed CR9 it still does not appear. Even with all references added it does not show up. Any ideas?

You can't find CR in the 'Add Item' dialog because it is in the 'Add Windows Form' dialog.

If I go to Project-add windows form; the same dialog comes up as 'add new item' with all the same choices. Any other ideas??

It is available through both Add New Item and Add Windows Form.

In the categories section of the dialog box expand the tree at Local Project Items, Crystal Report is on the Utility node.

I tried that the only thing there is: Application Config file, Text file, Jscript file, vbscript file, Windows script host. NO Crystal Reports.

In Visual Studio select Help then About Microsoft Visual Basic.Net. Is Crystal Reports listed in the Installed Products List?

Yes. It lists this:Crystal Reports 9 for Visual Studio .NET

In which case I'm afraid I've no idea. I presume you've tried all the nodes under Local Project Items in the Add Item / Windows Form dialog box.

I have tried all logical options that I know of! Maybe someone has an illogical one!
I've used CR since VB3 never had problems.

The first thing I would do is check Business Objects website and see if CR 9 for .Net is actually for VS 2003. It could be that the version which comes with VS 2003 is technically higher than 9.
