I have been using crystal reports for about 8 months now. and my boss's computer crashed and had to get a new one and install our loan program on it all over again. well...it works fine and data is all there, but when i go to edit my reports it doesn't change in our program like it normally did. Crystal Reports are pointing to the correct directory and I can see all my data, i tried from another computer here and it doesn't pull up any of my data through crystal reports. why is it showing up blank, when all the fields have not changed nor have changed where it sees the data. does that make sence?

and our "tech" doesn't have a clue why it's not showing. she tried it on her end, with our data and does the same, but when she uses her program..and her data, it's fine.

What type of connectivity are you using to your database and what type of database?

It may be that you need to set up ODBC or similar oin the new machine which was in place on the older one.

connectivity ? I'm using XP...and so is the new computer, and so was the old computer, ODBC?? even if that wasn't there on the old computer?

data base is Mortcare, it's our program for loans. and c.r 8.5 always has had our info. and can see my info, but it doesn't save it or transfer over to my mortcare like it use to.

and it's not working on the new computer either, it doesn't save anything and the data should transfer over is showing up blank

CR85User is right.

there had to have been in place some sort of connection, probably ODBC on old computer. Just because you don't know about it doesn't mean it wasn't there. You can go into the windoze menus and check it, test it.

Thanks

I will go and check on the new computer
