Crystal Reports 8.5 Registration Issue

running MF1.0 XPs/FR2/SP2/W2K/.
I have adopted Citrix server with Crystal Reports 8.5 loaded. Software runs fine except every so often, every user is asked to register the "unregistered" software. Even when I register it, it still shows as "uregistered" for some users. Users are complaining about the Message Box.

 
You may want to check to see if this app was upgraded from a previous version of Crystal reports. I have seen this before, during an upgrade. During the version 8.5 upgrade you are prompted to insert media for the previous release although it is not clear as to when this is requested. Try re-installing the 8.5 upgrade (assuming this is the case)
 
Did you ever find a solution? We have the same problem. We installed Crystal Rpts from CD, not an upgrade.

Regedit- HKEYLocalMachine-Software-Seagate Software-Crystal Reports-

Right click on KeyCode

Choose permissions. Make sure there is no deny for permissions for the user or group.



It’s a known bug with crystal.
