However, when I try to create a documents in Crystal Reports 8.5, the info from MS Access that I need ex> Company Names, Customer Names wouldnt fully come up/load up, just few names. What am I doing wrong? I do follow step by step instructions. Is there any web sites that could help me? Forsakes, I have Crystal Reports 8 for Dummies....I think I'm getting dummer by reading it more. PLease I need major help. Thanx
When you say "create documents in crystal" what do you mean by that? have you actually executed a report and the report itself did not return all the records, or are you browsing the field data? Software Sales, Training and Support for Macola, Crystal Reports and Goldmine

When I said "create documents in crystal" what it means...
I open Crystal Reports 8.5 program
-then, click File, click NEW (new document)
-then, the welcome dialog pops up
-then, I click on using report expert (click ok)
-then, I click on "FORM"
and it goes on..........
I've excuted several different types of reports and sometimes it works, but not all the time. However I can not get all the infomation from MS ACCESS DATABASE to show up in CRYSTAL REPORTS when I try to create new documents, for examples> Invoices, Customer Informations etc.
My question is HOw can I retreive info from MS ACCESS into Crystal Reports 8.5?? am I still confusing you?? please let me know, thanx
So you can write a report, and save it, and it only works part of the time? What is not working?
In answer to your question on how to get data from MS Access into crystal, just attach directly to the .mdb file and then bring in the tables you want the data to come from. Have you had problems doing this? Software Sales, Training and Support for Macola, Crystal Reports and Goldmine

yes, I can write a report and save it and print, however, when I go back to edit the report, the half of info in that documents disappears or the info changes(some how, I dont know..Only I can access into Crystal File) like a Lucky Charm.(???!!!)
The MS ACCESS file does formed in *.mdb file when I acess it
What do u mean "bring in the tables you want the data to come from"???
Yes, I've had a lot of problems lately....I started this program about a month ago, its driving me in to "coo coo" land. Thanx for your feed back, I really appreciate it. If I'm bugging you, let me know, I'll send u a b-ball bat, so u can smack me with it (Just kidding- I just need to laugh)
thanx again,
If your report is changing, that is because your raw data in the MS Access database has changed. This is what Crystal is designed to do.
If you save the report with data, and never select refresh (F5 or lightning bolt icon) this will never happen to you, and youwill have a 'static' report.
