Hello, is it possible to make a connection from crystal 8.5 to SAP r/3 logical databases for reporting. if so, please help and explain.

Thanks in Advance

Contact your SAP Account Rep to get the appropriate software to connect CR to SAP. CR/CE is now free with the purchase of their Data Warehouse, but can also be purchased for use directly to R/3.

We currently have the BW and R/3 reporting solution. Our BW system is currently being upgraded, so we are trying to report from R/3. We have the software connections in place and are able to access the R/3 tables, but we are still experimenting with report creation using functions, clusters, and infosets, but we have no knowledge of accessing the logical databases. Much help would be appreciated.

Thanks

You can create an Info Set based on a logical database and then report on the Info Set using Crystal Reports.

We have developed Infosets in SAP but Crystal Reports prompts the user for parameters when accessing a Info Set. Also the program returns no values when no entering the parameters. Should the Info Set be just a copy of the data?
