Crystal Report v10 - verify database question

I opened CR v10, open a CR v8.5 report. I then went to: verify database and logged into my Oracle 9 database, saved the report.
We put the report on our intranet. We use an URL to pass the userid, password, and criteria to the report.
I now always asks for the userid and password. It did not do this until I did the verify database.

Are you using Crystal Enterprise 10 to send the report to the intranet? It has an option under Process->Database which says "Prompt the user for database logon when viewing"... that could do it I believe.

Our reports reside on the intranet server. They are using a web component from Crystal Enterprise to process the report.
