I am new to CR. I have a main report with report header, two detail sections, and a footer. In the details sections i have inserted the same report as a subreport, because i wanted two copies of the same report to print. It all works fine if the subreport is of single page, but the problem is if it has more records and cannot fit in a single page. the report prints both the copies right but along with that it also prints multiple set, ie i get around 10-15 sets of the two copies i want. and i am not being able to figure out why thats happening?

would appreciate any help.
thank you

Hi,
Why are you using that method to print more than 1 copy instead of telling the printer set to do 2 copies?

coz i need to manipulate the footer section accordingly.

thank you,

Hi,
Can you explain that further...

I need the report's footer to say "Original Copy" and "Duplicate Copy" to each copy it prints. So, I need to do that in the crystal report rather than printing 2 different copies using the printer.

thank you

Place the subreport in the report footer. Or if you are grouping and want two sets per group, place it in the group footer. You probably will need to format the group footer (link it on the groupfield) with new page before and new page after (add a conditional formula to this one: not onlastrecord).

Thank you lbass for the solution, it worked when i inserted the subreport onto the group footer section. So, what was wrong with the Detail section, why would it give me multiple sets of the same report?

thankyou

The subreport would have executed once for every detail record.

Thank you for the information.
