Good Morning, I hope you can help me! I have a report I am printing from Crystal 8.5, the problem is half the pages are missing. The report currently has 69 pages. 1 thru 44 are there and 69 is there, but all of them in the middle are missing. I cannot view them or print them. Any ideas?

Hi,

Are you sure your report has 69 pages? IS the problem when you print\preview from your app? If so try to Preview it from CR itself with the exact same query and find out if it brings back 69 pages.
Also what database are you using, what driver are you using for data acces. If you can be more specific, it would help.

cheers,
Techi

Thank you for your quick reply. I am using SQL as my database and I believe psdmon.dll is the driver. I am sure there are supposed to be 69 pages. It seems to stop pulling pages at the first subreport and then for some reason it will show the last page with all it's subreports and the report totals.

Hi,

So you are using the ADO driver. Since it seems to stop pulling pages fro the subreport, make sure you are opening the subreport and setting it datasource to the recordset you are passing.I do not know if you are doing this.

From the Report object, get the Section object, iterate through the sections, get the Subreport object. Open the subreport object and set its datasource to the recordset you are passing.
oSubReport.Database.SetDataSource = yourRecordset.

Also when you open the reordset, open it as a clientside cursor use adUseClient. CR requires a client side cursor.
Also open your report in CR do a verify datbase and save and reimport it to your appn. Let me know if this helps.

cheers,

Still nothing after trying any of those ideas. While it seems to stop at the first subreport it is pulling in the subreports on the last page. Does this make a difference?

What happens when you export this report and reopen it back in Crystal? Does the same thing show up without all the pages? If it doesn't then maybe you should check the 'Hot Fixes' for Crystal on their web site, I found a lot of time the cpre32.dll was the cause of a lot of issues I was haivng regarding strange behaviors. Check for a new version release.
