Crystal Report 2008 default values not uploading entire information

Hi all,

I'm using crystal report 2008 and trying to upload default values on my parameter field. I have item ID's populated from A - Z in my item_id field in the database. However, when I upload my item ID's to the parameter field, I only got A - H. It doesn't matter if I was using static or dynamic.

Is there a way to upload all of the info from my database field that I don't know about?

Any advice is greatly appreciated.

Did you notice the new feature that creates pages of values in the parameter prompt screen? Below the picklist box you will see the ability to page through additional values.

If this is not the issue, how many values are in your desired list?

I noticed the many pages. I went to the last page and that's where I found only item ID's up to H were uploaded. Total items uploaded was 1000. I did a google search and one posting said that he had to change the registry when he did it in crystal XI. But I don't even know how to do that in 2008. I think the limit is 1000 and I need to have more.

Please help.

Yes, a change in the registry value is what is necessary, but you should be very careful making any changes there, unless you are very comfortable with working with the registry. You could do a search on threads here to see how to do it, but I'm not sure I've seen anything here regarding CR 2008. You might want to go directly to the SAP Business Objects website.

It is pretty user unfriendly to have to scroll through more than a thousand picklist values. Maybe you could consider segmenting the picklist by adding a higher order parameter that narrows the list--using a dynamic cascading parameter.
