Help me plz.
Thx.

yes. you are right the CE Service has stopped. If i click start it will stop after 3-4 seconds no it own. on and off it would not stay connected (started) the service.

Hi,
Which CE service?
What error is reported in the Event Viewer?

Just to have more information - yes its the viewer "ActiveX Viwer" that gives me teh window when i do print reports.

So the Service is stops on its own - it will not stay Started (connected) when i press the start button in services.

thanks

The first thing to try is brute force, meaning that you should restart the server.

Next check the Event Viewer for the errors reported there, and post what they say there.

Note that you need to state the specific server that stopped when posting or you're just wasting yours and others time.

Name of the service:
Service Name: CrystalReportApplicationServer
Display Name: Report Application Server

"C:\Program Files\Common Files\Crystal Decisions\2.0\bin\querysrv.exe" -service -name SERVERNAME.RAS

i found the problem by listening to you guys, the problem is that 2 servers were running the same licence, we needed a multi licence ver to be able to run more then on server with crystal e. 9 on the same domain netowrk. Even View Logs the problem and it showed me the other system that is running Crystal E Server.

Crystal is getting purdy smart these days...

Glad you found it, these things can be very annoying.

How would you bypass this problem - how would you block Crystal from detecting another server in the network that is running another RAS service? That is a good question :)

Hi,
Actually it sounds like a 'how can I avoid geting more licenses?' question, which is not a good question...
