Hi Everyone,

We are trying to run Crystal Enterprise 8.0 on Windows server 2003. The server is also running the Intranet on Port 80, while the default web server site is on port 8080. The Crystal Enterprise pages have been installed on the default web server site, so are expecting port 8080 to get all the pages.

The launch pad is coming up, and I can see a folder of sample reports, but none of the reports seem to run.

Any one know if we can do it this way?

According to Crystal, CE10 is the only product that will work with IIS 6. We just bought 9 and now find that we can't use it at all, so it's become a really expensive coaster.

In other threads in this section, and here:

it appears that it is II6, not Server2003 that is the problem.
All the CE services run fine on Server2003, so if you use another web server (say, W2K and IIS5) for user access and set up the Web Connector to reference the Server2003 CE stuff, it should work. Be sure to read the note about the APS as well.

We got it working last night. Running IIS6 in IIS5 Isolation Mode seems to make it work okay. You also need to untick the option - File Exists.

I am in a similar situation - and trying to get CE 8.0 to work. We are not using the CE portion but rahter using a simple Url Reporting Options on a Windows 2003 Server with CE 8.0.

It is asking for a username and password to the database on each function, but that isin the Url form HTML Code.

It does not appear to actually be processesing the information because it just cycles through the lsit and keeps asking for the username and password.

If the past this has been a permissions issue - but since the upgrade to windows 2003 no permissions were changed unless IIS changed permissions or username that I am not aware of. Any suggestions what I can try? I am running IIS in isolation 5.0 mode. and the un verify box has been unchecked.

It kinda seems to me like the usename and password are not being sent through to the CE processing servers portions.

THANKS for any help or comments
