Hi, all. Quick question for you.

Is it possible to make a Crystal Report refresh its data automatically when I open it in Crystal Developer?

Thanks in advance!

Regards,
TEM

If you turn off the File->Save Data With Report then it will be forced to refresh whenever it's previewed.

However if you don't preview, rather remain in developer mode, it won't refresh.

Hi,
I do not think so..Once the data is saved with the report you would need to refresh it just like you would the first time it was run.

Is it burdensome to click on the lighting bolt?

Hi, all.

Thanks for the tips. Unfortunately, I was trying to use a windows scheduled task as a way to cheat the report into behaving as if it were on Crystal Enterprise.

I guess I'll just need another method.

Rather than asking obscure questions, you should have just stated the intent.

There are numerous freeware and shareware macro recording and scheduling programs out there which would allow you to emulate all mouse movements and keystrokes.

Try shareware.com and search using macro and scheduling.
