Crystal 8.5 will not Export on web

A report previews successfully using a Report Designer Component (RDC) Active Server Pages (ASP) application. However, when you attempt to expport the report to Microsoft Word (.doc), Rich Text Format (.rtf), or to Portable Document Format (.pdf), one of the following error messages appear:

"CRAXDRT Error -2147190908 : Failed to Export the Report."

I've investigated the ExportModeller.dll and the U2fwordw.dll and have also checked the Atl.dll for version 3.004.8449.
The web server is NT 4.0 sp6 IIS 4.0 for that matter the Export button doesn't work on W2K nor W2003 IIS 6.0 either.

Help... CR 8.5 and CE 8.0 are on each web server. The reports come up just fine from my ASP pages in all three web servers just never have gotten the Export button to work.

What version of rptserver are you using?

I would recommend using the version delivered with CR8.5 -

If you don't have the setup cd handy you can find it here(default install path):
C:\Program Files\Seagate Software\Crystal Reports\Samples\En\Code\Web\Active Server Pages\rptserver.asp

You want to make sure you have the proper *.dlls in C:\Winnt\Crystal

Examples:

U2FXLS.dll
U2FCR.dll
U2FPDF.dll

I'm assuming you are using the ActiveX viewer...

Make sure your viewer .asp pages have the export button flag turned on:

SmartViewerActiveX.asp:

ActiveXPluginViewer.asp:

This should be enough to get you going in the right direction...

When I searched for these dlls it started talking about CE 8.5 and not my CE 8.0 I've downloaded the hotfixes and patches and will try to install them. Thanks for the reply, if you have any more info please pass it on...

I applied the dbexdrvrwin_en.exe hotfix and attempted to install the CR 8.5 sp2 but the service pack asked me to re-install the entire CR 8.5 because it said it couldn't find the original. What a mess...
