I have a simple report that queries a SQL Server database. The report runs correctly from the Crystal Report Designer (of course!) and it also works from the Crystal Management Console, a browser-based application. But when I try to view it from an ASP page I get a generic error:

Error Occurred Reading Records: Error detected by database DLL.

I've investigated various possibilities including security issues, IIS configuration (to the limits of my knowledge...), etc., and I have spoken with Seagate tech support, but the problem remains.

Any ideas or assistance would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks!

its an issue that i'm near to fix.

you can start with this

try with the error_detected_by_database_dll.pdf in crystal home page.

Are you using CRAXDRT or Web Component Server to call your report from an ASP page (with the URL or ASP code)? What database do you report off?
